This recipe that we present below is a homemade recipe . Every time I eat it it reminds me of the tastes and smells of my childhood. My mother's food in those winter days where nothing was more comforting than a delicious soup.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 700 ml of water
  • 60 ml of evaporated milk or alternatively cream of milk but it is not the same
  • 150 grams of ground beef
  • 100 grams of angel hair noodles
  • 1/2 onion chopped in small squares
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • Oregano
  • 2 small spoonfuls of ají panca (colorado)
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Put a pot on the fire, add a little vegetable oil and the chopped onion.
  2. Brown the onion until it is soft and transparent, without burning of course, then add the ground garlic and the panca pepper and stir.
  3. When you have the dressing ready add salt, pepper and oregano rubbing it in your hands so that it takes on more flavor.
  4. Then add the ground beef, wait for it to brown a little and then add the hot water (just boiled).
  5. While the meat is being prepared, lightly beat the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Once the meat is cooked, add the angel hair and make sure it doesn't overdo it. I recommend approximately 3 minutes maximum.
  7. After 3 minutes, add the evaporated milk and the beaten egg little by little, moving with a fork so that small threads of egg are created and not a single layer.
  8. Correct the salt and if you wish add a splash of milk more.
  9. Serve the Soup a la Minuta in a deep plate or bowl.

Additional information

This soup has its origin in Italy and arrived in Peru along with the italian colony that was installed in Peru at the beginning of the 19th century and has served for the coldest days for Peruvian homes since then.

The original recipe called for thin noodles, tomatoes and grated cheese, ingredients that are not used in the current recipe. However, some substitutes are used that were better in the preparation of the soup a la minute through the years and the evolution of our gastronomy rich in cultural diversity.

We must not forget that many dishes that are very popular today in Peru are due to the influence of italian food , good examples of them are the green noodles and the red noodles , delicious and exquisite where they exist.
